Spirularin® NF ointment for irritated nail folds

Our feet are our most important guide in everyday life. But even the smallest restrictions can throw us off our stride. Timely and preventive care helps to restore and strengthen the natural skin barrier.

This also applies to irritated skin in the nail fold, before pathogens can penetrate deeper into the skin tissue and nail bed.

How do nail fold irritations develop?

Irritated nail folds are one of the most common nail problems. Pressure points, improper nail care, ingrown nails, tiny injuries or even nail biting disrupt the natural protective barrier. Germs can penetrate the skin through this and trigger corresponding reactions.

If bacteria are involved, this is referred to as acute nail fold irritation (also paronychia). The skin around the nail swells and turns red. Such irritation around the nail is often painful and sensitive to pressure.

Fungi, prolonged contact with irritants or conditions such as diabetes mellitus, on the other hand, can lead to chronic nail fold irritation. The symptoms are similar to paronychia. If nail fold irritation keeps recurring, a podiatrist can help or, in mostly rare cases, a surgical procedure.

Why does Spirularin® NF Ointment offer special protection?

To keep nails and the surrounding skin healthy, good and regular care is essential. This applies to fingernails and toenails. Spirularin® NF ointment for irritated nail folds with the microalgae active ingredient Spiralin® provides support precisely in this sensitive area. Like a protective film, Spiralin coats healthy skin cells and thus protects against the spread of infection.

The disturbed skin balance is brought back into equilibrium in a completely natural way. Other ingredients such as zinc oxide (20%) also soothe the skin thanks to its anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties.

Vegetable oils also provide the skin with important moisture and care.

The Spirularin NF ointment for irritated nail folds can be used safely by adults, diabetics, as well as children and adolescents. Proper hygiene is important for inflammation in the nail area. This is the only way to prevent further pathogens from finding their way into the affected areas via the smallest of injuries.

Spiralin® inside

The unique active ingredient Spiralin® is obtained from the microalga Spirulina platensis through a patented process. What is exceptional about this 3.6 billion-year-old algae genus are special defense properties that it has developed over the course of evolution against its natural enemies such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses.

Application

For daily protection, apply a thin layer of Spirularin®NF Ointment to the nail fold in the morning and evening and massage in. For severely irritated nail folds, apply a thick layer and cover with a household plaster (clean and renew daily).
